There’s lots happening in Richmond and the surrounding areas over Easter – from Moomins to duck hunts, easter bunnies to fun activities, there’s sure to be something for the kids.

Moomin Adventures
Kew Gardens

The wonderful world of the Moomins is coming to Kew Gardens with their special festival camp in the wild woodland, packed full of exciting family-friendly activities and events in the wild woodland.

Sample their pancakes and learn about flowers and conservation in the Herbarium.

Giant Duck Hunt
Wildfowl and Wetland Trust, Barnes
Saturday 1st April to Monday 17th April

Easter is great time to head to the Wildfowl and Wetland Centre with lots of cute baby birds and buds. Some of the ducklings have decided to disguise themselves as ducks that live at the centre. If you can find them all, you’ll win a special chocolate prize.

There’s also the Celebrity Dusty Duck Trail created by Aardman Studios. Look out for the ones designed by Steve Backshall and Joanna Lumley.

 

Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt @ Hampton Court

Take the family back in time and join the first ever Lindt Gold Bunny Hunt around the home and gardens of Henry VIII.

Once you’ve found all the Bunnies, pick up your delicious Lindt chocolate treat.

Cadbury Egg Hunt and Craft Activities
Ham House

Hiding in the grounds of Ham House are Bunny and his woodland friends. See if your kids can find them, learning about nature as they go and they’ll earn a treat at the end. £3 per trail, normal admission applies. They can also get involved with den building, bug hunting or get crafty with free kite making!

50 things trail: If you’ve got kids under 12 then there are some great things from them to do including den building and bug hunting. £1 per trail with a badge reward.

Make-a-kite craft activities. Fancy designing and flying your own kite? Head down below stairs to and get creative. Free and available every day.

Lots of fun both indoors and outdoors as well as local trips to the park, walks along the river and access to the soft play facilities. For ages 4 to 8, plus Wild Play Days for ages 7 to 11.

Visit a different location each day to explore woods, build shelters, discover nature, create woodland art and breathe Mother Nature’s good stuff.

Easter at Orleans House
Orleans House Gallery, Riverside, Twickenham

Orleans House have two weeks of great activities for kids of all ages including shadow puppetry, creating creatures out of clay and using textiles. The Easter Bunny will be paying a visit on Thursday 13th.
